Why own a UTV when you can play with and even race an amazing vintage historic military vehicle? The veteran non-profit Warfighter Made has two Raceco/Flyer Defense “Flyer One” Light Strike Vehicles for sale. The Flyer One is a rear-engine diesel-powered 4x4 buggy built to compete with the Chenowth DR3 3-seat Navy SEAL buggy in the late 80’s/early 90’s. 250 were built for Special Forces throughout the world. This vehicle is the “grandmother” of the current US Special Forces Flyer 72 aka GMV 1.1. These are the ITV variants of the Flyer One with a collapsible upper cage to make them an Internally Transportable Vehicle or ITV. One is the ITV at 60 inches wide to be transported in a V-22 Osprey and the other is the ITV-I (Israel/India) at 72 inches wide to transported in a C-130 Hercules. The ITV-I has been to the highest road in the Himalayas and lowest road alongside the Dead Sea, a world record? Both vehicles are mostly complete and ran when parked. Mostly complete and the motors turn by hand. Ready for a refresh or rebuild. Check out our rebuild at: https://www.race-dezert.com/forum/threads/flyer-one-rebuild-for-norra-2015-mexican-1000.119985/ Build with the best components available for the time: Powered by a Detroit Diesel with a Transaxle Engineering transaxle and an Audi automatic transmission. Suspension is an A-arm front end with trailing arms in the rear. Saginaw power steering race box and so much more!
