Just about everything in this 1979 CJ5 is new, except the tub. We rebuilt it all for my teenage son so that it was street friendly/safe but still a lot of fun off road. He's off to college now so we had been looking to sell (previously advertised this jeep on this site). We did $25k of work in the last 2 years to put in new everything, including seats, tires (5), shocks, rockers, converted from carburetor to EFI, electrical wiring, steering wheel and column, bumpers, fuel tank, roll bar, clutch, brakes, etc. Unfortunately when my son was home visiting he drove the Jeep without checking that the oil had been completely depleted. The engine is now frozen. A new engine, as quoted from my mechanic is $5k. I will sell this as-is for $7,500 to take it off my hands. Give my mechanic $5k for the new engine and within 3 weeks you'll be driving this great Jeep.
