What the Product Development Coordinator will do:

· Proactively research and analyze the automotive, motorcycle (dual sport, adventure, and street), and UTV markets to find trends that will influence new product development projects.

· Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products.

· Proactively create and prioritize business cases for new products and platforms for Vehicle Specific Kits.

· Use critical thinking skills to apply take rates, growth opportunities, and historical sales to forecast revenue generated by new products.

· Coordinate product development schedules (New Products / Product Revisions / Market Research), with all departments, holding all involved accountable for deliverables and due dates.

· Coordinate the steps of Vehicle Specific Kit development with engineering team to ensure on time launch of kits.

· Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and customers to source vehicles for new product development.

· Use existing product structure to manage part number, BOM, and pricing creation ensuring that relevant departments provide approval.

· Work with engineering and other departments ensuring procedures are followed for optimal efficiency during product development process.

· Constant communication with Sales, Marketing, Production and Technical Support to resolve customer pain points and to document future product needs.

· Create build sheets for production stations.

· Keep product applications and compatibility up to date with the current model year.

· Maintain and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect the current best practices of the Engineering and Product Development department.

· Directly reports to the Product Development Manager.

Requirements & Qualifications:

· Must be an automotive and lighting enthusiast.

· Must be deadline driven, willing to hold self and others accountable for completing projects consistently on-time.

· Some travel is required (~10%) to meet with clients, suppliers, tradeshows, and industry events.

· Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours (testing lights at night, support other departments, industry events/shows, meet deadlines, etc.) (~10%)

· (1-3) years Product Development work experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

· Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Must have strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

· Familiarity with ERP systems including NetSuite is a plus.

· Strong organizational skills and familiarity with document control processes.

· Exceptional attention to detail.

· Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions while also being able to work with little to no supervision.

Pay Range:

$22.00 - $27.00/hour, depending on qualifications
