$6k OBO

1978 F150 Stepside race truck. I do not know the race history....would like to find out any information on it. Truck is for Sale...make offer. Truck is currently at a storage facility in Apple Valley, CA.

Update: No Motor or Trans. The hood, front fenders are fiberglass. Side door are the factory steel door skins. Bed is aluminum sides w/ fiberglass fenders. Someone had spent a lot of money on the fabrication on this truck. It would make a great vintage racer.

Update 03/22/20 - I was contacted by a gentleman who had helped build this truck and was able to provide some much needed information. I was informed on 03/19/20 that this truck was built at Reno Sheet Metal (Los Angeles, CA) in the 80's as pre-runner for Danny Brown of Reseda, CA. Original color was a pale blue. The gentleman stated, "truck was never raced by us. It was used as a pre-runner". The rear custom (widened) fenders/molds were made at Reno sheet-metal in North Hollywood and the person that molded those fenders up was Ed Horst of abstract fiberglass in Reseda. He went on to state, "As far as I know we never let anybody else use the molds". the original motor was a 302 with a C6 transmission. *I did some online research in an attempt to reach out to Reno Sheet Metal. All phone numbers have been disconnected.

10/18/20 - The completed truck in the pics is the big brother truck to the one for sale.

FOR SALE $16,000
1939 International Junkyard special

Vintage Vehicles-173874

What is it? I dont even know..It's the lost skeletal remains of a 1939 International firetruck that might have mutated with a late 90's International transit bus? Powered by a 1993 5.9 Cummins engine with a ground pounding 250 hp she doesn't get there fast but she will get you there in style, has a gretag 5speed with a transfer case, hydraulic disc brakes all the way around, air ride in the rear and 7" side pipes, the boom does work but is currently crank operated so not optimal for towing your stuff, will run down the interstate at 75 mph all day long and it rides as good as a steel wheeled manure spreader, super single tires in the rear low-pro 22.5 tires in the front, 8 bolt pilot mount, on board electric air compressor, 3 trumpet air horns under the bed, 140k miles on the engine, transmission has around 40k..is running and driving but needs a little bit of elbow grease to fix most of the quirks which I will do at no extra cost if bought..the ride will make you suffer but man will you look cool doing it, cash offers only please I'm trying to put a down payment on a house and build a prerunner, you know how it goes
