Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with engine builders and the shop team to assess inventory needs for customer projects.
• Assemble detailed parts lists for each customer project and pull the necessary parts from inventory for assembly.
• Order parts in alignment with inventory requirements and specific customer project needs.
• Create purchase orders for vendors and manage the virtual receipt of parts in QuickBooks when they arrive.
• Maintain accurate records by copying purchase orders and invoices for accounting and bookkeeping purposes.
• Generate sales orders for customers when projects are completed.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies related to invoicing or statements.
• Handle returns by acquiring credit memos from vendors and adjust inventory accordingly.
• Understand the distinction between inventory and non-inventory parts to ensure correct labeling and tracking in QuickBooks software.
• Organize and arrange freight shipments and invoice customers appropriately for shipping and handling costs.
• Maintain a precise inventory of parts in the parts room and track items used in customer projects.
• Perform an annual hand count of inventory to ensure accuracy.
• Keep work areas neat and organized.
• Conduct general maintenance on shop machinery and place orders for necessary parts.
• Keep daily shop supplies well-stocked to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in inventory management or a similar role, preferably in a racing or automotive environment.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting/inventory software.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Design and develop new high-power analog and digital LED and power control circuit boards for Baja Designs and sPOD products

· Use LTSpice for pre and post design analysis

· Maintain lifecycle of current designs – monitoring component end of life, evaluating component alternates, and determining product specifications

· Live circuit testing and debugging

· Perform maintenance of accurate and organized BOMs

· Collaborate with the firmware, thermal, optical, and mechanical engineers on present and future designs

· Provide clear information to the Engineering and Product Development team regarding electrical product and component tests, status of 3rd party electrical designs, electro-mechanical design interfacing, and firmware-application-hardware interfacing

· Understand and apply basic heat transfer and thermal property practices of metals and PCB constructions

· Evaluate and test theoretical LED quantifications through real world testing

· Perform physical assembly creation for in-house prototyping

· Work with contract manufacturers and the purchasing team to identify alternate components to prevent supply chain disruption

· Work with and train Production team on new product designs

· Design and maintain PCB testing and MCU programming fixtures

· Maintain test specifications and procedures for all circuit board designs

· Provide Product Development team with accurate timelines and lists of deliverables for electrical designs to maintain product launch schedules

· Keep up with electronic advancements and look at ways to implement them into current and future designs

· Work with Customer Support, Sales, and Warranties departments to troubleshoot customer issues and use feedback to improve future Baja Designs and sPOD products

· Coordinate the schedule and deliverables of 3rd party partners to increase product output

Requirements & Qualifications:

· Background in lighting and/or automotive electronics design

· Some travel is required (~10%) to meet with clients, suppliers, tradeshows, and industry events

· Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours (testing lights at night, support other departments, industry events/shows, meet deadlines, etc.) (~10%)

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field

· 5+ years experience in PCB and PCBA design and layout. Experience must be current and relevant to job description

· 3+ years in circuit analysis through simulation using LTSpice

· 3+ years of experience in designing low voltage analog designs

· 3+ years of experience in digital designs

· 3+ years of Altium Schematic Capture and PCB Design

· 2+ years in PCB Manufacturing and CM Coaching experience

· Be able to design with the understanding of the relationship between hardware and firmware

· Excellent attention to detail and precision

· Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills

· Ability to adapt to file structure and maintain file organization with revision changes

· Ability to communicate electrical concepts and design decisions to non-electrical engineers

· 4+ layer PCB Design Experience (preferred)

· Embedded hardware and PCB design experience (preferred)

· Pspice simulation analysis (preferred)

· Altium simulation anaylsis (preferred)

· CID (Certified Interconnect Designer) and or CID+ certifications (preferred)

Pay Range:
