Customized 1955 Willy rock crawler, Baja racer, and desert runner. This is a ground up custom construction specifically built with intent to run Baja races in Mexico and rock crawler courses within the United States. Unfortunately, the owner passed away from cancer before he had a chance to retire and put the vehicle to use. The estate is now providing someone else to own this unique creation.
The body is a 1955 Willy Wagon that had the front end lengthened 18 inches to accommodate its Gen II Cummins 5.9 Diesel engine. The drive train is a 1995 Dodge RAM 2500 system with a limited slip Dana 80 rear with a 4/10 ratio and a Dana 60 Front with a 4/10 ratio.
It is a complete ground up professional fabrication with both an internal and external roll cage system. Each wheel can be independently unlocked for rock crawling and then locked for more flat ground running. It has a massive front winch system designed specifically to pull the vehicle through courses where they intentional create location that winching is only way to move vehicle.
High end custom suspension all around to withstand the intended racer rigors it was designed for. Jack mounts designed into the frame. Rear bump and hitch system designed for pulling military style trailers through desert off roading. Built in racks for jerry cans.
The vehicle is located in Yuma, AZ at what was owner’s second home. Members of his estate and trust will be in Yuma, AZ handling other matters from July 30 thru August 10. Time can be scheduled to view, and test drive the vehicle.
