Baja Bug New Class 5 Open Baja Bug. Titled in Arizona as a ‘59 VW convertible. That’s how it started. Chassis was originally build at SoAZ Speed in Tucson about of 1.75” Chromoly tubing to class specs. The chassis is designed after a successful active 5 Open car. Spacious interior as I’m 6’4”, probably the most comfortable cockpit I’ve been in for a bug. After initial construction the car went to Raul Solano (ORAF) and Manwelder in Apple Valley to be finish welded and to have the suspension completed. The car race is prepped, just needs suspension final tuning. In July I took a piece of metal in the eye while driving down the road in my Jeep. Freak deal. After a few months of trying to rehabilitate my vision I have come to the decision to give up the dream of running my car. I can see out of the eye but my depth perception is shot. I need to let the car go. If you are looking for a new car or a friend is I will make them an offer they can’t refuse. No reason for it to just sit in the garage.
