What the Product Development Coordinator will do: Â· Proactively research and analyze the automotive, motorcycle (dual sport, adventure, and street), and UTV markets to find trends that will influence new product development projects. Â· Keep up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products. Â· Proactively create and prioritize business cases for new products and platforms for Vehicle Specific Kits. Â· Use critical thinking skills to apply take rates, growth opportunities, and historical sales to forecast revenue generated by new products. Â· Coordinate product development schedules (New Products / Product Revisions / Market Research), with all departments, holding all involved accountable for deliverables and due dates. Â· Coordinate the steps of Vehicle Specific Kit development with engineering team to ensure on time launch of kits. Â· Develop and maintain relationships with business partners and customers to source vehicles for new product development. Â· Use existing product structure to manage part number, BOM, and pricing creation ensuring that relevant departments provide approval. Â· Work with engineering and other departments ensuring procedures are followed for optimal efficiency during product development process. Â· Constant communication with Sales, Marketing, Production and Technical Support to resolve customer pain points and to document future product needs. Â· Create build sheets for production stations. Â· Keep product applications and compatibility up to date with the current model year. Â· Maintain and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reflect the current best practices of the Engineering and Product Development department. Â· Directly reports to the Product Development Manager. Requirements & Qualifications: Â· Must be an automotive and lighting enthusiast. Â· Must be deadline driven, willing to hold self and others accountable for completing projects consistently on-time. Â· Some travel is required (~10%) to meet with clients, suppliers, tradeshows, and industry events. Â· Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours (testing lights at night, support other departments, industry events/shows, meet deadlines, etc.) (~10%) Â· (1-3) years Product Development work experience. Â· Bachelorâ€™s degree in related field preferred. Â· Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Â· Must have strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Â· Familiarity with ERP systems including NetSuite is a plus. Â· Strong organizational skills and familiarity with document control processes. Â· Exceptional attention to detail. Â· Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions while also being able to work with little to no supervision. Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.00/hour, depending on qualifications Whatâ€™s next?
