I am selling my 1988 Ford 2.3L turbo engine that is currently in a sandcar. This engine was rebuilt a few years ago by Vegas Machine. It only has a few trips on it. It now makes almost too much power and scares my family. So I'm parting my ways with it. The engine is tuned at 409hp to the rear wheels at 20psi of boost on 110 octane. Redlines at 7500RPM. Machine Shop -1988 Block out of Ford Thunderbird -Block is decked .010 -Bore 3.820 x Stroke 3.126 comes out to a 143c.i.d -.020 over Forged Autotec Pistons dish 15cc from Racetec with Total Seal Rings - Esslinger's Big Valve Alum Head 52cc -Compression Ratio is 8.9:1 -Factory Forged Crank turned and polished -Factory Rods turned and polished -Crower Cam #F-11904 Special Roller Advertised Duration Int 277 Exh 275 Lift Int .553 Exh .548 RPM range 3500-7500 -Balanced Assembly with new bearings for everything. The block was tanked and Magged. -Port matched and polished the Intake to the head. -Intake is fully ported -New timing set and belt -ITS T4 Turbo, rebuilt by Turbonotics same time as engine. Water and oil cooled -Aftermarket Alum Inner Cooler that actually fits in the factory spot to work with SVO hood. -Esslinger's full billet pulley set with adjustable timing pulley and underdrive Crank pulley. -84lbs injectors with a 1in fuel rail -Ron Francis Wiring harness -Stinger Performance PiMP standalone computer. -MAF sensor was replaced by Livewire -MSD coil, wires and distributor -Dyno Tuned at Shelby American Motorsports.
